The new IoT driver suite comprises of Berto IOT Gateway, Berto IOT Dimmer, Berto IOT Light and Berto IOT Generic. The Berto_IOTRelay, Berto_IOTSensor and Berto_IOTButton drivers have all be replaced and should be removed from your project prior to upgrading.
The new Berto IOT Dimmer driver replaces the old light driver and the new Berto IOT Light driver just has On/Off capabilities.
The new Berto IOT Generic driver replaces the old relay, sensor and button drivers.
After updating Berto IOT Gateway and controller reboot or Director restart is required.
An issue in release 1.12 caused the discovery process to sometimes remove the device mappings so prior to the upgrade you should ensure your devices are all mapped and then do a full system backup. To ensure devices are mapped you should re-select the device in the IoT slave driver’s Device property which will cause the device mapping to be remade.
Following the backup you should the upgrade and then restart director or reboot the controller. After director has restarted you should take the Export Devices option on the Actions tab before doing aything else. You should receive an email with your backed up configutation in JSON format, you can check the device mappings by looking for the ids tags in the configuration file.
Once you have an exported configuration file you are safe to do a new discovery or manually add devices. At any point your can take the Import Devices option from the Actions tab which should import all your previous backed up devices and mappings.
