The Berto Sky Q is an IP driver for the Sky Q and Sky Q Mini boxes. The driver lets you control your Sky box using IR, if connected, or IP. The control method can also be switched by holding the Select button for between 5 and 10 seconds, useful if the network goes offline which sometimes happen on the Sky Q box requiring a restart of the box. Holding the Select button for over 10 seconds will cause a Reset event to be fired allowing for programming to power cycle the Sky box.
When using IP control programming events for the Sky Q box coming online and going offline are fired so that automatic reboots can be carried out if required. The status of the Sky Q box is checked every 60 seconds to determine whether to fire offline and online events.
